BUMPY, CROOKED NOSE
Do you have a crooked nose? A small dent that bothers you? Perhaps an unwanted bump on the bridge of your nose? The good news is that non-surgical nose job, or rhinoplasty, is very effective at eliminating nasal bridge bumps. Dermal fillers have proven to be ideal in correcting many of the minor deformities that exist either genetically or as a result of an accident or surgical procedure.
What causes bumpy nose?
Most nasal bridge bumps are caused by an overgrowth of the nasal cartilages and bones leading to a convexity or “bump” on the bridge of the nose. Occasionally, traumatic injury to the nose can result in overgrowth of the bone and cartilage leading to a bump as well. Aesthetically, bridge bumps can distract from more ideal nasal-facial proportions and are particularly bothersome to patients on profile pictures or pictures that are viewed mostly from the side.
Treating Crooked Noses with Non-Surgical Nose Jobs
• Hyaluronic Acid Fillers. Juvederm and Restalyne are safe, effective, temporary fillers that last up to one year.
• Radiesse. Using a specially formulated biocompatible substance (identical to what is found in our bones and teeth), Radiesse creates a dermal scaffold, if you will, allowing your body’s own collagen to grow and rejuvenate, restoring a smooth, regular appearance.
• Artefill. This is the longest lasting dermal filler available without surgery. The injected microspheres used in Artefill remain intact over time to provide long lasting structure.
