Scar removal or revision is the name given to several non-surgical techniques used to change the appearance of scar tissue, blending it in with the surrounding skin area.
How does it work?
Though a scar cannot be removed completely it is often possible to make it appear less obvious. Most methods of scar removal/revision can be done in-office using local anesthesia. Punch grafts, Fraxel® laser, chemical peels, dermal filler and steroid injections, micropigmentation (permanent makeup), as well as topical lightening creams may be used to lessen the appearance of a scar.
